Are you familiar with the feeling when you come home in a sleet and suspect that your soaked beanie is at the end of its life cycle? This is often not the case. With a little effort and time, the product comes back to life:
1. open the corners of the beanie straight
2. pull a measure lengthwise on the beanie
3. place the beanie on a flat airy surface to dry.
4. when the product is completely dry, you can fold the turns again and use the beanie again.
WOOL PRODUCTS RARELY NEED WASHING
Most of the time, the product is freshened by airing. But never put a wool product in storage (even for the summer) unwashed. In storage, the product may get uninvited pest-users who will ruin the structure of your product.
WASH THE PRODUCT AS FOLLOWS:
If there is a fold in the beanie, mittens or other knitted accessory, open it straight.
- The product's washing temperature is marked on the washing instruction label inside the product. The washing temperature of the sweater is usually 30-40 °C.
- Knitwear is always machine washed in the so-called with a wool program, i.e. with a gentle washing program intended for knitwear. The line below the washing temperature mark means that the washing program must be gentle.
- Use a mild detergent as a detergent. Do not use bleach. Many detergents and stain removers state that they are not suitable for wool.
- We do not recommend the use of fabric softener
- Wash the sweaters separately or with lint-free products of the same color.
- After washing, the product is shaped, i.e. straightened. The folds of the knitted accessory are still kept open and the product is lightly measured. Do not stretch the product in the width direction.
- The product is dried on a flat surface in an airy place or in a drying cabinet at low heat. In the drying cabinet, the product must not be hung in such a way that it stretches in the width direction when wet and heavy.
- Do not put knitwear in the tumble dryer. A tumble dryer will certainly destroy a delicate knitted product.
- Knitwear rarely needs ironing, but some materials can be ironed according to the temperature in the washing instructions.
- When the knitted product is dry, fluff it up a bit, for example by shaking the tassel, and turn any folds in the knit back into place.
